The Value of Training and Coaching

Since becoming an agent, my relationship with training and coaching has gifted me more than I could ever imagine. At the early point in my career, I had been travelling all around the country to attend training courses. Now, a big part of my life is dedicated to in-house training and coaching agents across the state.

A common misconception is that coaching and training is required when there is a gap in the workplace. However, even the most successful agents continue to train themselves – and for good reason, too.

Training is necessary to be at forefront of the industry – and without it, I would not have been able to get to where I am today. With the ever-changing nature of property, there is always so much to learn and familiarise yourself with. Self-development is something I always advocate in many areas of life, and real estate is no different.

Being a licensee is about so much more than just managing an entire organisation. Training gives others the confidence and morale they need to grow, and allows for reflection in an open and supportive environment.

Most of the time, the agents I coach already possess skills that are transferrable to the industry. Each person is unique, and as a mentor, it’s my duty to show them how to shine in their own ways. For my team, I always make it known that I am on their side as they make key decisions.

As Michael would agree, it is our responsibility to give back to the industry which has given us so much. Minic Property Group is no longer about us anymore. Our focus lies on the next generation and their potential. Following this, it is such a privilege to be able to use this position to help others achieve their goals.
